About Us

LittleBoyLearning

Early Links Inclusion Support Service has been offering high quality Early Childhood Intervention services in the Hunter region since 1988.  Our program supports children, birth to 8, with a developmental delay, disability or who are at risk of developing a developmental delay.  Support is offered in the home, school and community settings. Four percent of Australian children will have a diagnosed disability or developmental delay. Both International and Australian research identifies early childhood intervention that is delivered as part of the child’s everyday routine as having long term benefits for the child, family and community.  Early Links works to facilitate the meaningful inclusion and individual development of children with additional needs.  We do this by providing families and educators with clear and accurate information to help understand how to support children’s developing skills.

Early Links Philosophy

At Early Links we:

✤ believe that inclusion into all aspects of community life is a basic right for all children and their families.  We believe that children thrive in environments that recognise and cater for their individual strengths, learning styles and their families’ cultural context.

✤ strive to build strong relationships within the community to facilitate a sense of belonging for children and their families.  We believe in supporting and empowering families, as they are the most important influence in their children’s lives and also advocates and decision makers for their children.

✤ strive to provide the highest quality early childhood intervention support service possible through reflection of best practice principles.  Support to those we work in partnership with includes information sharing, resourcing and training where needed.
